I have never read a book that has been more significant to me personally. I've read a bunch of self-help books--Steve Covey, Depak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Rick Warren, et al--but never one that gave me a glimpse into myself like this one. Marguerite Manning is a wonderful writer and a true visionary. I can honestly say that this book is a revelation, unlocking universal secrets that I never knew were possible. For the first time, I truly believe I know what my purpose is, why I'm here and what I should be doing with my life. What if you could get in touch with your own soul? This book helps you take that unlikely journey. I know astrologers look at the birth chart as an important indicator of future possibilities and future actions. Marguerite uses the birth chart to unlock the secrets of the soul. And in this book I learned what I'm here for--what baggage and gifts I've brought along with me as well as what lessons I'm here to learn so that I can evolve to a higher spiritual state that will bring me the joy and success I deserve when I live up to my 'contract with the universe'. It doesn't get any more important or revealing than that. This book is far more than well-written, provocative and ground-breaking... it has literally changed my life. Read it. It could change yours as well.
Loved this book. It's not what you first expect, and it offers so much more. Why wouldn't anyone of us welcome a personal blueprint containing some basic directions to get us someplace we want to go, but have never been before? (at least in this lifetime) It just makes sense!
This book outlines how understanding our spirtual tendencies can give us a better chance at finding our own happiness or personal contentment, wherever they might ultimately lie. We all have a desire, consciously or unconsciously, to find our own peace. What's better than having an easy guide to help us figure out what sandbox we should be playing in?
A tad cynical by nature, I am not the least bit interested in knowing my daily horoscope. However, I am extremely interested in trying to find some commonality between the scientific & physical world, and my increasing sense of spirituality. This book acknowledges that within our own level of spirituality one's soul does indeed have a sense of purpose.
It's an easy, entertaining & enjoyable read. I read it in about 2 hours, but the best part is it's easy to go back and refer to, again and again. I plan to keep it close, sort of a cosmic compass if you will. It will keep me on track. For those of you who contemplate things deeper than a bread pudding, buy it.
