Juka and the Monophonic Menace is a traditional, top-down role-playing adventure, set in the fantasy land of Olba. Players take the role of Juka, who has a lot of work ahead of him. He must complete quests to earn the powers he'll need if he manages to reach the evil Monophonic Menace for a final face-off, and he'll want to learn how to collect and use the six elemental ingredients so he may mix potions that can help him to solve in-game puzzles. Combat takes place in real time, so Juka must also be ready to react and attack with finely-honed reflexes if he hopes to get the better the many enemies he will face. ~ All Game Guide

A Button = light shield, grab, release, pull up, talk to villagers
B Button = dark shield, drop down, back out of menu, dive, surface
R Button = potion menu select, fire shot, change chapters in journal
