This new speaker technology utilizes a thin-line speaker design with
enhanced dynamic range. This eliminates the big round speakers,
without losing any of the big home theater sound.
- SRS WOW
SRS WOW technology takes the performance of the television's existing
speakers to a whole new level, offering the consumer superior sound
quality with no additional peakers required, SRS WOW consists of three
separate sound expanding systems, which work together to extract
"buried" highs and lows. The three systems are, SRS 3D, TruBass, and
FOCUS. SRS 3D creates a three dimensional sound field from just two
speakers, thus giving the listener the feeling of hearing a multi
speaker surround sound system. TruBass produces a powerful, yet low,
frequency sound by utilizing a process called psychoacoustics. From
only two small speakers, TruBass will give the effect of an expensive
sub bass woofer that will leave the listener amazed by the quality of
the sound. FOCUS was added to direct the energy from the speakers of
the television set in a vertical direction up towards the listener's
ears. The addition of FOCUS means that there is virtually no loss of
sound from the speaker's position on the bottom panel near the floor,
which achieves a clear, undistorted range of audio.

- ATSC/NTSC & QAM Digital Television Tuners
ATSC is the 8VSB (8-level Vestigial Sideband Modulation) system. This
is the digital TV broadcast system chosen by the ATSC (Advanced
Television Systems Committee) for broadcast TV in the USA. QAM
(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) is the digital TV system chosen by
the U.S. Cable TV companies for use over digital cable. Toshiba
integrated digital TVs have both ATSC and QAM digital tuning
capability so that you can receive terrestrial digital broadcasts as
well as digital "cable-in-the-clear" broadcasts.
- Game Mode
Game Mode reduces the delay that normally occurs between signal input
and actual video display. This results in faster response between the

An RF (or antenna) input can be used to connect cable TV or an

both cable and broadcast channels simultaneously.
- SurfLock
SurfLock gives the viewer the freedom to browse programs on other
channels then return to the original channel at any time simply by
pressing one button. Simple to operate, the viewer just needs to press
and hold the channel return button for one second, which will store
the current channel number into memory. The viewer can then scan
available channels, and when ready to return to the original, simply
presses the channel return button again to view the channel in memory.
- Theaterlink IR Pass Through
Through the use of an IR blaster, TheaterLink allows remote commands
to be sent through the set to home theater components, even if hidden
away from view.
