Best known as half of the world fusion group Super EFX (alongside George Jinda), crossover jazz guitarist Chieli Minucci launched his extraordinary career in 1982, and for fourteen years divided his time between touring with the EFX band and playing session gigs with such R&B artists as Chaka Khan and Roberta Flack. 1995 saw the genesis of Minucci's solo career; from '95-'97 he recorded three critically acclaimed EPs on the JVC label: Jewels, Renaissance and It's Gonna Be Good. Minucci makes a rare reunion date with the EFX band (sans Jinda), for a live, in-concert performance, in the home video issue Chieli Minucci: A Night with Chieli Minucci and Special EFX.
